Job summary

BRE’s Physical Security team seeks a Senior Certification Project Manager to lead complex security product approval projects from enquiry to certification delivery. The role blends technical leadership with client engagement and project oversight across national and international standards.

You will manage evaluation, testing, and certification of security products, develop test plans, and guide the team to deliver on time and budget while maintaining high quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• Strong experience managing certification, testing, or technical assurance projects.
• Understanding of physical security products, technologies, and testing/certification processes.
• Knowledge of national, international, and LPCB standards related to security product evaluation.
• Experience developing project plans, quotations, technical proposals, and certification documentation.
• Ability to manage complex projects through all stages of delivery with quality, budget, and timescale adherence.
• Experience reviewing technical reports and supporting certification decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of evaluation and certification projects for physical security products per standards and client specs.
• Oversee testing, evaluation, and certification activities to ensure compliance.
• Develop test plans and coordinate delivery to timescales and budgets.
• Manage bespoke certification and evaluation projects for clients.
• Prepare technical proposals and maintain strong client engagement throughout the lifecycle.
• Provide technical review and sign-off for reports and certification processes.
• Support team through technical leadership, training, and process oversight.
• Engage with specifiers, end users, and stakeholders regarding testing and certification.
• Represent BRE at exhibitions, standards committees, and industry groups.
