Job summary

Ignite Talent Group is seeking an experienced Senior EC&I Engineer to join a major regulated engineering programme in the Glasgow area. You will work within an established EC&I team, delivering design across construction and commissioning lifecycle for complex machinery and control systems.

The role requires taking ownership of technically challenging activities, strong background in industrial control systems, electrical design and commissioning, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams

Qualifications

• Experience in EC&I engineering within regulated environments.
• Strong background in electrical design and commissioning.
• Ability to own technically challenging engineering activities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver EC&I design packages for machinery and control systems.
• Provide technical solutions to complex issues, in collaboration with lead engineer.
• Create and review control system specifications.
• Produce FAT support and participate in factory acceptance testing.
• Prepare and review cable diagrams, routing, and schedules.
• Contribute to design reviews and close out actions.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Senior EC&I Engineer to join a major, highly regulated engineering programme.

Working as part of an established EC&I engineering team, you will provide technical expertise across the design, construction and commissioning lifecycle, with particular responsibility for the delivery of complex machinery and control system packages.

The position will suit an experienced engineer with a strong background in industrial control systems, electrical design and commissioning, who is comfortable taking ownership of technically challenging engineering activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Work as part of a multidisciplinary EC&I team to develop and deliver engineering design packages supporting the construction and commissioning of complex machinery and associated control systems.
• Develop practical solutions to technically complex engineering issues, working alongside the Lead Engineer where required.
• Control System Specifications
• Shutdown Cause & Effect documentation
• Technical Datasheets
• Technical Requisitions for long-lead equipment
• Review and check EC&I design deliverables, including:
• Cable Block Diagrams
• Cable Routing Drawings
• Cable Schedules
• Termination Diagrams
• Identify technical discrepancies or deviations and raise appropriate technical queries to ensure issues are effectively resolved.
• Support and participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
• Participate in multidisciplinary Engineering Design Reviews and provide EC&I input through to the satisfactory close-out of actions
