Hunter Dunning Ltd. is seeking a Senior CDM Principal Designer in Clerkenwell, East Central London.

The role requires a minimum of five years in CDM Principal Designer duties, with strong knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015 and the ability to manage design risk independently on large-scale projects in the UK and internationally. In this hybrid role, you will oversee CDM compliance, coordinate safety across disciplines, and advise clients throughout RIBA stages.

Qualifications

• Proven independent management of Principal Designer responsibilities.

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 DOE

Job Overview

A Senior CDM Principal Designer job is available with a multidisciplinary architecture and design practice in Clerkenwell, East Central London. This opportunity suits an experienced professional with at least five years of CDM Principal Designer experience, strong knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015 and the ability to manage design risk independently. Working alongside architects, engineers and specialist consultants, you will oversee CDM compliance and health and safety coordination across large-scale, technically complex construction projects in the UK and internationally.

Role & Responsibilities

• Undertake Principal Designer duties under CDM Regulations 2015
• Manage pre-construction health and safety coordination across multiple projects
• Lead multidisciplinary design risk reviews and mitigation strategies
• Prepare risk registers, pre-construction information and health and safety files

• Strong communication, design risk management and professional judgement Experience on larger developments is desirable. A background in architecture, engineering or construction and relevant professional memberships would be advantageous.
