Job summary

The Advocate Group is supporting a key food client in the search for a commercially ambitious Senior Category Manager who will own the category strategy and shape key customer relationships within UK retail.

Based in a growing food business, you will turn Nielsen, Kantar data into clear opportunities, influence ranging, pricing and promotions, and build compelling category stories to present to senior customers.

Qualifications

• Experience in UK retail environments and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Strong analytical capability with the ability to turn data into actionable recommendations.
• Proven experience in category strategy, ranging, pricing and promotions.
• People management or coaching experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Own the category strategy and insight agenda across key UK customers.
• Turn Nielsen, Kantar and market data into clear commercial opportunities.
• Influence customer decisions around ranging, pricing, promotions, merchandising and activation.
• Build compelling category stories and present recommendations to customers.
• Develop trusted senior-level relationships with key retail partners.
• Lead strategic projects across Commercial, Sales and Marketing.
• Coach and develop others within the category function.
