Seven Search and Selection Ltd in West London is seeking an experienced Category Manager for an office-based full-time role. You will develop the strategic category vision, lead Range Reviews and build strong customer relationships.

The ideal candidate has proven category management experience in branded FMCG, is highly analytical, collaborative, and able to coach two direct reports. Part-time/4-day week options are considered.

Office based role (full time in office) - Based West London

Our client is a global FMCG manufacturer with instantly recognisable leading brands in multiple categories.

Their brands are currently in significant YoY growth, and their category, marketing and sales departments are being heavily invested in. Category Marketing today is a central point to their success, particularly in the relationships they have with the top 4 grocery multiples.

The Role

• Developing and leading the strategic category vision
• Lead Range Reviews & Category Performance Reviews
• Building strong customer relationships with advisor status
• Work to develop continuous reporting solutions for these customers’ incl. Category scorecards
• Develop objective space to sales recommendations and ensuring this is aligned to range review objectives and Category Vision growth opportunities
• Develop best in shopper activation plans
• Leading and developing a team of 2 direct reports

The Candidate

• You will have proven category management experience working within a branded FMCG environment
• You will have the ability to look at consumer needs as a source of inspiration, with proven sales and marketing experience and a track record of achievement.
• Your approach must be very analytical in order to influence the category agenda.
• A forward thinking, flexible attitude is vital and you must have the drive and resilience to succeed and be able to work from you own initiative.
• The role will involve cross functional team working therefore the ability to successfully develop and maintain relationships by adopting a collaborative working style is crucial.
• Ideally will have experience of managing / coaching direct reports

This role is office based (full time) in West London.

Part time / 4 day week applicants will also be considered for this role.
