Job summary

The Emerald Group is seeking an experienced natural catastrophe modelling specialist to join our Physical Risk team in London as Associate Director. You will lead portfolio modelling and single-site risk work, manage client relationships, and drive business development across GB, EMEA and APAC.

You will oversee project delivery, mentor analysts, and leverage models from RMS, AIR, RQE and KatRisk, while applying a strong quantitative and engineering mindset to climate risk consulting.

Qualifications

• Experience leading catastrophe and climate risk consulting projects.
• Strong understanding of probabilistic catastrophe modelling concepts.
• Experience with third party catastrophe models (RMS/AIR/RQE/KatRisk).

Responsibilities

• Lead natural catastrophe and climate risk consulting projects for GB, EMEA and APAC.
• Manage project teams to deliver on time and within budget.
• Develop leads and manage business development pipeline in CRM.
• Provide SME input for modelling and technical reviews of analyses.
