Job summary

ICAEW in Milton Keynes is seeking a Senior Case Manager on a permanent basis. You will lead and manage a team of regulatory Case Managers, overseeing casework from Practice Assurance visits and ensuring timely, quality decision-making.

This role offers a salary of £50,000-£58,000 with a hybrid pattern (2 days in the office, 3 days from home) and a benefits package including pension, private medical cover, and wellbeing support.

Qualifications

  • Previous line management experience, with demonstrable experience of leading and developing a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience writing and reviewing reports.
  • Excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to understand and interpret complex information and make informed, evidence-based decisions.
  • Ability to ask insightful questions, gather relevant information and consider the wider impact when making decisions.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement, with the ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of regulatory Case Managers, supporting their performance, development and day-to-day delivery.
  • Oversee casework arising from Practice Assurance monitoring visits, ensuring cases progress effectively and meet required deadlines and quality standards.
  • Review case recommendations and supporting documentation before consideration by the Practice Assurance Committee, ensuring papers are clear and evidence-based.
  • Provide technical and procedural guidance to Case Managers across Practice Assurance matters, AML supervision contracts and other regulatory issues.
  • Oversee AML supervision contract work and assess dispensation applications, including cases involving complex ownership and governance arrangements.
  • Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders and contribute to the continuous improvement of Regulatory Practice processes and procedures.
