Job summary

YMCA Chiltern Group is seeking an experienced Senior Carpenter & Multi-Trade Technician to join our Property Services team. This hands-on role focuses on repairs, maintenance and refurbishment across a varied property portfolio, while mentoring colleagues and providing technical guidance.

You will diagnose, plan and complete responsive repairs, planned maintenance and remedial works with an emphasis on first-time fixes, safety, and high workmanship standards.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in carpentry and multi-trade maintenance.
• Strong first and second fix carpentry skills.
• Experience fitting kitchens, bathrooms, doors, locks and timber fixtures.
• Ability to diagnose defects and complete repairs to a high standard.
• Experience working independently across multiple sites.
• Good IT skills and experience using mobile job management systems.
• Strong customer service, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to travel across our whole portfolio in supplied van.
