Job summary

Barchester Healthcare Homes Limited is seeking a Bank Residential Senior Carer to support care homes on a flexible basis. The role involves leading a team, providing training, and coordinating care on shift while ensuring high-quality, person-centred support for residents.

Responsibilities include medication administration, updating care plans, risk assessments, and liaising with GPs and family members. Training and progression opportunities are available within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care required.
• Previous residential care experience and proven team leadership skills essential.
• Ability to make appropriate decisions to support residents' needs and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of care staff on shift, including training, supervisions and delegation of duties.
• Assist with administering and ordering of medications, and review/update resident care plans and risk assessments.
• Liaise with GPs, district nursing teams and resident families to coordinate care.
• Uphold dignity and deliver care in a warm, welcoming environment.
• Support career development and progression for junior staff.
