Job summary

Ravenscroft Rest Home in Preston is looking for a dedicated care worker to lead and support care staff, delivering person-centred care aligned with individual care plans. You will monitor residents' wellbeing, liaise with families and professionals, and maintain accurate records.

Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays, is essential. You will promote dignity, safeguarding, and independence, with safe medication administration where required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support care staff during shifts
• Deliver person-centred care in line with individual care plans
• Administer medication safely and accurately
• Support residents with personal care, mobility, nutrition, and daily activities
• Monitor residents’ wellbeing and report concerns appropriately
• Maintain accurate care records and documentation
• Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and management
• Promote dignity, independence, and safeguarding at all times
• Ensure compliance with CQC standards and Ravenscroft's policies and procedure
• Medication administration experience
• Good leadership and communication skills
• A caring, reliable, and professional attitude
• Understanding of safeguarding and person-centered care
