Salutem Care and Education is seeking an experienced Deputy Manager for Ashleigh House to support the Registered Manager in delivering high-quality, person-centred care. You will lead the staff team, ensure safeguarding and regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement across care planning, audits, and service delivery.

The role requires NVQ/Diploma in Health and Social Care (level 3/5) and commitment to developing staff while maintaining exceptional resident outcomes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in health and social care leadership.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding, person-centred practice, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and team leadership skills.
• Passionate about delivering outstanding care and supporting staff development.

Responsibilities

• Support the Registered Manager in day-to-day running of the home.
• Lead, supervise, mentor, and develop staff through recruitment, induction, training, coaching and performance management.
• Ensure compliance with CQC standards, company policies, safeguarding requirements, and contractual obligations.
• Monitor service quality, risk assessments, medication management, and care planning to achieve positive outcomes.
• Manage staff rotas and deployment to maintain safe staffing levels and meet individual needs.
• Conduct audits, supervisions, appraisals, and team meetings to drive continuous improvement.
• Work with families, local authorities, healthcare professionals and external agencies to support service growth and outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to budget and resource management.
• Act as a positive role model and provide leadership in the absence of the Registered Manager.
