Job summary

Caldene Rest Home in West Bromwich is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to join the dedicated team. The role focuses on delivering high-quality, person-centred care and supporting colleagues to achieve the best outcomes for residents.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or working towards it.
• Experience in a senior care role is desirable.
• Commitment to person-centred care and teamwork.
• DBS checks and references may be required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support the care team, providing guidance and leadership to ensure high‑quality care.
• Develop and implement care plans and participate in care reviews where appropriate.
• Ensure safe storage, documentation and administration of medication in line with guidelines.
• Support residents with daily activities such as personal hygiene, mobility, and nutrition.
• Monitor residents' health and wellbeing and report concerns promptly.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the care environment.
• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided.
