Job summary

Connaught Care Collection is seeking a Senior Care Assistant for Waterhaven Place Care Home in Chichester, West Sussex. You will lead on the floor, mentor staff, and deliver person-centred care with kindness and professionalism.

You will be responsible for medication administration, care plans, risk assessments and handovers, while building trusted relationships with residents and their families. DBS checks apply and sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Care Assistant with a Level 3.
• Calm, confident presence with empathy and integrity
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Passion for working with older adults and dementia

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding person-centred care while leading by example across the shift.
• Support and mentor care assistants, ensuring best practice and kindness.
• Assist with medication administration, care plans, risk assessments and handovers.
• Be the senior point of contact on the floor—managing priorities, responding to resident needs and supporting the team in the moment.
• Build trusted relationships with residents and families, offering reassurance, empathy and clear communication.
• Maintain accurate records and uphold the highest standards of care, dignity and respect
