Orchard Healthcare Group in Houghton-le-Spring is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to lead a care team and deliver person-centred care to residents in a dementia-focused home. You will assess needs, develop care plans, and supervise staff to ensure compassionate, high-quality support around the clock.

The role requires Level 3 in Health & Social Care and prior experience in elderly/dementia care. Night shift availability, DBS check, and ongoing professional development are provided to support

Qualifications

• Qualified to Level 3 in Health & Social Care (essential).
• Experience as Senior Care Assistant for at least 6 months.

Responsabilités

• Lead and support the care team to deliver high-quality care.
• Administer medications safely and accurately.
• Monitor residents' wellbeing and update care records.
• Liaise with healthcare professionals and families.
• Support residents with personal care, meals and daily activities.
• Ensure the home remains clean, safe and welcoming.
