Job summary

Quality Service Recruitment Limited is urgently seeking an experienced Senior Care Assistant for a care home in the Eastwood area, near Nottingham. The successful candidate will support an existing team and provide high-quality personal care to residents.

Shifts run from 22:00 to 07:00. Pay is £14.00–£15.00 per hour with holiday entitlement; sponsorship is not offered. Applicants should have a DBS check updated within the last 6 months and be able to provide two years of references.

Qualifications

• Three months experience in a care home setting is required.
• References covering the last 2 years of work, preferably in care.
• Up-to-date mandatory training in safeguarding, infection control, moving and handling.

Responsibilities

• Provide the highest level of personal care and attention to residents following care plans.
• Maintain health and safety, including COSHH, Food Hygiene and infection control.

Job description

Urgently seeking experienced Senior Care Assistants to work within the Nottingham Area.

We need an experienced Senior Care Assistant that will be able to assist an existing team within this lovely care home based in Eastwood.

You will be expected to carry out the following key responsibilities:

• Providing the highest level of personal care and attention to the residents, following care plans carefully whilst ensuring that all contact is polite, friendly, warm and supportive.
• Ensuring all aspects of Health and Safety including COSSH, Food Hygiene and Infection control are maintained.
• Administering medication to service users, accurately maintaining appropriate records for both.
• To liaise with other care professionals relating to the care needs of the residents if required.
• To always respect and maintain confidentiality of resident’s personal information, this includes resident’s behaviour and actions and any incidents that may occur during the day.
• Responsible for undertaking light cleaning duties as needed and ensuring that the Home is kept clean, pleasant and welcoming always.

To be suitable for this position you must:

• - Have at least three months experience within a Care Home Setting.
• - Able to provide references covering the last 2 years of work preferably in Care.
• - Up to date Mandatory training in Safeguarding, Infection Control, Moving and Handling
• - Have an in-date enhanced DBS check dated within the last 6 months, ideally on the update service. If not don’t panic, we can help you.

This is an ongoing role that can become permanent for successful candidates.

You will be working from 2200 to 0700.

There are other shifts available on request.

The hourly rate is between £14.00 to £15.00 per hour. Holiday entitlement being accrued, up to a maximum of 28 days per year for time served.
