Job summary

BCG is seeking a Senior Carer to provide person-centred care to our residents, supporting their physical, psychological and social needs while safeguarding dignity and individuality.

You will supervise Care Assistants, work alongside the Nurse on duty, assist with personal care and meals, and contribute to care plans and reviews.

Qualifications

• SVQ/NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care.
• Experience in person-centred care planning.
• Experience in a Care Home environment is advantageous but not essential.

You’ll deliver person-centred care to our residents to ensure they retain their dignity and individuality. Additionally, you’ll supervise and inspire a team of dedicated Care Assistants, working alongside the Nurse on duty.

Your Role Will Involve:

• Supporting the clinical team with medication administration, assessments, care plans, and care reviews.
• Supervising and mentoring other Carers.
• Assisting with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene, dressing, and helping with meals.

About You:

Cheerful, caring, and compassionate by nature, you’ll have good reading, writing, and communication skills and be flexible enough to work shifts. You’ll be passionate about care and making a difference in people’s lives.

You will need to have an SVQ/NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care. Experience in person-centred care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia is desirable. Previous experience working in a Care Home environment is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.
