Job summary

BCG Cares is seeking a Senior Carer in Scotland to provide person-centred care, support the clinical team with medications and care plans, and mentor a team of Carers alongside the on-duty Nurse. The role emphasizes dignity, individualised care and strong communication.

Candidates should be cheerful, caring and flexible to work shifts, with SVQ/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent. PVG check, UK work authorisation, and no sponsorship required.

As a Senior Carer at BCG, you’ll care for our residents like they’re your own family. It’s all about attending to their physical, psychological, and social needs to help us deliver the quality of care they deserve.

You’ll deliver person-centred care to our residents to ensure they retain their dignity and individuality. Additionally, you’ll supervise and inspire a team of dedicated Care Assistants, working alongside the Nurse on duty.

Your Role Will Involve:

• Supporting the clinical team with medication administration, assessments, care plans, and care reviews.
• Supervising and mentoring other Carers.
• Assisting with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene, dressing, and helping with meals.

About You:

Cheerful, caring, and compassionate by nature, you’ll have good reading, writing, and communication skills and be flexible enough to work shifts. You’ll be passionate about care and making a difference in people’s lives.

You will need to have an SVQ/NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care. Experience in person-centred care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia is desirable. Previous experience working in a Care Home environment is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.
