Dunlarg Care Home in Keady, Armagh, part of Healthcare Ireland Group, seeks a Senior Care Assistant to lead care shifts and support medication management within a 58-bed home. You will mentor the care team and ensure personalised, compassionate care.
The role emphasises emotional support, advocacy for residents, and building strong relationships with families while maintaining safety and quality standards.
Situated in the tranquil countryside of Keady village, County Armagh, Dunlarg Care Home offers a welcoming and supportive environment with easy access to local shops and public transport. Our home comprises two units, providing care for up to 58 residents.
We offer a broad range of care services including General Nursing and General Residential Care, with specialised support for individuals with Learning Disabilities, Mental Health needs, and Physical Disabilities under 65.

The Senior Care Assistant role in our Homes is part of dedicated team who are essential to the daily operations of the Home. In our Residential Homes and units, this is a leadership role, working closely with the care team to lead on shifts and manage medication.
Senior Care Assistants provide high quality care and support to our residents in a warm and safe environment. Senior Care Assistants play a crucial role in the delivery of care, working with the care team, the role of a Senior Care Assistant is to provide leadership, guidance and hands‑on assistance to ensure the residents receive personalised care that meets their individual needs and preferences.
Our Senior Care Assistants also provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering meaningful relationships and promoting a sense of compassion; an advocacy for the rights and preferences of our residents.
