Job summary

Spa Nursing Home Group is seeking a Care Assistant (Casual) in Banbridge to support residents in a frail elderly care setting. You will work with a dedicated team to provide person-centred care, assist with personal care, meals and daily routines, and help residents engage in meaningful activities.

We welcome applicants with compassion and a proactive approach to learning. This casual role offers shifts at Iveagh House and opportunities for training and development in a supportive workplace.

Qualifications

  • NISCC registration or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • Must be aged 18 or over at start.
  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK (no sponsorship).
  • Medical fitness to carry out physical requirements of the role.

About the role

About the Role

This role is on a casual basis with shifts available in Iveagh House, , Castlewellan Road, Banbridge which caters for up to 33 residents requiring frail elderly care.

As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well‑being and dignity of our residents. Working alongside a dedicated multi‑disciplinary team, you will provide compassionate, person‑centred care, assisting with personal care, meal times, daily routines and meaningful activities. Your support will help create a safe, comfortable, and enriching environment where residents can thrive.

  • Previous paid or unpaid experience in providing care in all aspects of daily living.
  • A qualification equivalent to an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care.

Additional Information

Interviews may take place via video call.

This role involves substantial access to vulnerable adults. The successful candidate will be offered the position subject to a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure Check through Access NI. Regulated posts will also require a check of the adult barred list.
