Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a Senior Care Assistant at Acorn Lodge Care Home in Nuneaton. You will work with the care team to deliver high standards of personal care in a safe and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff.

The role requires an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes, at least 2 years’ experience in a similar setting, strong communication, and a flexible, supportive attitude to residents and colleagues.

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
• 2 years’ experience working in similar care environment.
• The ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• A positive attitude to both supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
• Be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the wellbeing of each resident and update care plans as needed.
• Participate in person-centred care planning, and conduct monthly evaluations.
• Support residents with medication requirements.
• Undertake staff supervisions and support staff development.
• Act as a key point of contact with residents, relatives, visitors and health/social care professionals.
