Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Senior Care Assistant - Nights for Acer Court Care Home, Nuthall. You’ll work with the care team to provide high standards of personal care in a safe, caring environment for residents and staff.

The role involves monitoring wellbeing, contributing to person-centred care plans, assisting with medications, and supporting development among the team. DBS clearance will be needed and eligibility to work in the UK is required.

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 in care or equivalent in care homes.
• 2 years’ experience in a similar care environment.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Positive attitude to supporting and nurturing residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Monitor residents’ wellbeing and update care plans as needed.
• Participate in person-centred care planning and monthly evaluations.
• Support residents with medication requirements.
• Undertake staff supervision and support staff development.
• Act as a key point of contact with residents, relatives and health professionals.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be to support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive , and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff .

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

• Monitoringthe wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changeimpactingon care and care plans, ensuring that new needs aremet,and written records are amended to reflect any variation.
• Beinginvolved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing,monitoring,and undertaking monthly evaluations.
• Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
• Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required.
• Actingas a key point for contact with residents, theirrelativesand visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are actedupon,and concerns or complaints are escalated.

• Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
• Have 2 years’ experience working in similar care environment.
• Have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Have a positive attitude to bothsupporting and nurturing residents and staff.
• Beresponsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
