Overview

Senior Care Assistant - Nights at Aylesham Court Care Home, LE3 3PH. Permanent Full Time 36 hrs Nights. £12.40 - £14.01 per hour, depending on experience. Flexible to work between Monday - Sunday including alternate weekends.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day responsibility for running a unit
• Supporting with clinical duties, including supporting the nurse to observe, issue medication, review care plans and accurate record keeping
• Driving and managing a team of Care Assistants, including responsible for all shift handovers of the teams
• Helping with training and supervision of new staff members so they feel welcomed and supported
• Building relationships with residents, their families and external teams such as GPs and District Nurses
• Assisting residents with a range of personal care duties

Key Skills / Qualifications

• NVQ3 in care (completed or working towards). We’re happy to support you in completing your qualification if needed.
• Motivated, positive and with strong interpersonal skills; ability to run a unit and aid with clinical duties alongside the Nurse
• Experience in the role with knowledge of its rewards and challenges; passion for making a real difference with kindness, personalised support and dignity
