Job summary

PrimeLife Ltd is based at Phoenix Park Care Village in Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire, seeking a Senior Care Assistant to support residents with age-related conditions and dementia. You will work as part of a caring team to maintain daily independence and dignity.

Leading the team, you will review care plans, monitor medication, and help residents with daily living. Training is provided, with opportunities for progression in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Care Assistant or Support Worker is essential.
• Willingness to work across a 7-day shift pattern.
• Commitment to safeguarding and residents' dignity.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the care team to ensure high-quality care for all residents.
• Review and update care plans through ongoing assessment and evaluation.
• Engage residents respectfully, valuing individual needs and communication differences.
• Administer and record medication precisely as prescribed.
• Preserve each resident’s dignity and promote independence.
• Encourage residents to achieve the best possible quality of life.
• Encourage resident participation in daily living discussions.
• Assist with personal care as needed.
