Job summary

Highgate Care in Keighley, West Yorkshire, is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to join Sutton Hall & Lodge. You will provide compassionate support with daily living activities, help residents maintain dignity, and work closely with the care team to deliver person-centred care.

We value warmth, reliability, and the ability to lead a small team. The role requires NVQ level 3 (or willingness to work towards it) and flexibility for occasional evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 3 in care or equivalent, or willingness to work towards.
• Previous experience in a similar care role.
• Ability to lead and support a team while delivering person-centred care.

Responsibilities

• Assist Residents with daily living activities while maintaining dignity and comfort.
• Support training and supervision of junior and new staff in the Home.
• Monitor residents’ wellbeing and liaise with GPs and care managers as needed.
• Record care planning and maintain written daily notes per policy.
• Encourage participation in activities and social events within the Home.
