Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a Senior Care Assistant for Birchmere Mews Care Home in Knowle, Solihull. You will provide compassionate personal care, support the care team, and help maintain high standards of safety and dignity for residents.

The role requires NVQ 3 or equivalent, at least two years in a similar care environment, and strong communication skills. DBS check will be arranged, and eligibility to work in the UK is required.

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
• 2 years’ experience in a similar care environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Positive attitude to supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
• Flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care.
• Monitor wellbeing of residents and update care plans as needed.
• Participate in person-centred care planning and monthly evaluations.
• Assist residents with medication requirements.
• undertake staff supervisions and support staff development.
• Be a key contact for residents, relatives, and health/social care professionals.
