Job summary

Bridge Oak Care Homes is seeking a Senior Care Assistant for Acorn Meadow in Cheshire. This permanent, part-time role (22 hours weekly) offers a compassionate, home-like environment focused on dignity and independence for older residents.

You will support daily living, supervise junior staff, and help conduct care planning and social activities. NVQ level 3 or willingness to achieve it is required, with flexibility for some evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 3 (or willing to work towards this).
• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Warm, approachable and positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Support Residents with daily living to maintain high care standards.
• Supervise and train junior staff in the Home.
• Assist Residents with physical, emotional and spiritual needs while preserving dignity.
• Help residents with mobility and use of aids.
• Monitor Residents who may be confused or have behavioural issues.
• Contribute to continence promotion and end-of-life care support.
• Complete care planning and write daily records as required.
• Encourage Residents to participate in social activities and hobbies.
