Job summary

Bowood Court Care Home, part of Care Concern Group, Redditch, is seeking a dedicated Senior Care Assistant to lead by example and supervise the care team to deliver outstanding, person-centred care with dignity and respect.

You will administer medications, support care planning and ensure accurate records. The role includes supervising staff, ensuring safety, and promoting residents' independence, with alternate weekends required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is essential; NVQ Level 3 desirable.
• Experience with medication administration and keeping accurate records.
• Experience leading or supervising a care team; strong leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example, deliver outstanding, person-centred care and supervise the care team on shift.
• Administer medication and support care plans; maintain accurate care records.
• Monitor residents' wellbeing and liaise with healthcare professionals as needed.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, risk assessments and safeguarding to ensure safety.
• Maintain compliance with Health & Safety, infection prevention and regulatory standards.
