Job summary

Beechgrove Care Home in Lanark, part of Care Concern Group, is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to guide a team in delivering high-quality, person-centred care. The role covers hands-on care, shift management, and oversight of medications with a focus on safety and wellbeing.

You will maintain records and liaise with families and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. We value compassionate leaders with SVQ2 (Level 3 preferred), medication competency, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is minimum; Level 3 desirable or willingness to work towards.
• Medication administration training with competency is essential.
• Experience supporting or leading a care team is beneficial.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Guide and support the team to deliver safe, high quality, person-centred care.
• Oversee your shift, ensure care is organised and delivered to a high standard.
• Oversee medication and monitor residents' wellbeing, respond to changes.
• Maintain accurate care records and communicate with families and professionals.
