Job summary

Connected Health is seeking a Senior Care Assistant in Carrickfergus to support high-quality homecare services. You will oversee care runs, monitor calls, and support induction and shadowing for new staff while participating in on-call cover, including weekends and during absence of the Area Manager.

The role emphasizes maintaining client records, risk assessments, PPE provision, confidentiality, and adherence to policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months’ experience in a formal care setting.
• Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
• NVQ Level 2 in Care or equivalent; NISCC registration preferred.
• Full driver’s license and access to your own insured vehicle for business purposes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee care runs and monitor calls.
• Support staff induction and shadowing, including 12-week induction for new staff.
• Participate in on-call cover, including weekends and in absence of Area Manager.
• Report concerns to Area Manager and maintain client care records.
