Job summary

Bupa Broad Oak Manor in Sutton at Hone is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to lead a care unit and support clinical duties. This permanent, full-time role requires coordinating a team of Care Assistants, ensuring high-quality personal care and accurate record-keeping.

You will build strong relationships with residents and families, collaborate with GPs and District Nurses, and help deliver person-centred care with dignity. Training in digital care will be provided.

Qualifications

• Completed/working towards NVQ3 in care.
• Motivated, positive with great interpersonal skills.
• Experience in running a care unit and supporting Nurse in clinical duties.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day responsibility for running a care unit.
• Support with clinical duties: observe, issue medication, review care plans, record keeping.
• Drive and manage a team of Care Assistants; shift handovers.
• Train and supervise new staff to ensure a welcoming, supportive environment.
• Build relationships with residents, families and external teams like GPs and District Nurses.
• Assist residents with personal care duties.
