This role will be based at St Michaels Care Centre, in the heart of Waddington in Lincolnshire. The home has been specially designed to cater to the needs of 40 residents, living with age-related conditions, physical disabilities, and mental health conditions, including some with Dementia. It is essential that candidates are patient, understanding, and respectful of our residents' individual abilities.

Responsibilities of our Senior Care Assistant include:

  • Leading, managing, and supporting your care team to ensure high-quality care and service for all residents
  • Reviewing care plans regularly, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of residents' care
  • Engaging with residents in conversation at a level and pace that values their dignity and communication differences
  • Administering and recording medication as prescribed, with accurate monitoring of drug doses
  • Ensuring residents' dignity and independence are preserved and promoted
  • Encouraging residents to achieve the highest possible quality of life suitable for them
  • Supporting residents in discussions about their daily living arrangements
  • Assisting with personal care when necessary

What we’re looking for in our Senior Care Assistant:

We seek candidates with a genuine caring nature and a desire to make a difference. Prior experience as a Care Assistant or Support Worker is essential; leadership or supervisory experience is not required as full training and mentoring will be provided. Our residents typically live with age-related conditions, health issues, and disabilities requiring respectful, dignified support. Patience, understanding, and respect for individual abilities are crucial.
