Job summary

Caring Homes Group Ltd. is seeking a Senior Care Assistant for Cotman House in Felixstowe.

The role is part-time (24 hours per week) with shifts from 8am to 8pm, at a 62-bed nursing, dementia and residential care home. You will provide personalised, high-quality care, support residents with daily living activities, assist with medications, and mentor junior staff while developing individual care plans in coordination with healthcare professionals and families.

Qualifications

• Experience as Senior Care Assistant or similar.
• NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, person-centered care to residents.
• Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, mobility, and feeding.
• Administer medications and maintain records where required.
• Support and mentor junior care staff, ensuring they provide excellent care.
• Develop and implement individual care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals and families.
• Conduct regular assessments and reviews to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained.
• Build positive relationships with residents, their families, and other staff members.
