Job summary

Berkley Care Group is seeking a Senior Care Assistant in Worcester. You will care for residents, communicate with families and the home team, and support a culture of person-centred care.

The role requires a health and social care qualification with at least 2 years’ experience, and you will lead a small team, plan rotas, and provide coaching and inductions on shift. Free meals on shift and excellent benefits accompany the position.

Qualifications

  • Ability to lead, motivate, develop and delegate to others within a supportive team.
  • Kind, caring and compassionate demeanor with strong communication across residents, home team and families.

Responsibilities

  • Plan rotas and supervise a care team on shift to maintain resident wellbeing.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, 1-2-1s and inductions for team members.
  • Attend team meetings and act as a role model for the home team.

Do you have experience of the following?:

  • Promoting a caring and friendly environment where the philosophy of person-centred care is at the heart of everything you do, including the empowerment of residents to fully participate in all decisions relating to them
  • Administering prescribed medicines and maintaining associated records and care plans
  • Carrying out basic domestic duties and preparing light meals and refreshments for those in your care
  • Planning rotas and supervision of a team whilst on shift to oversee and maintain the care of residents
  • Ongoing coaching, regular 1-2-1s with team members and inductions
  • Attending team meetings and being a role model for the home team
