Job summary

Richmond Villages in Witney, Oxfordshire, is hiring a Senior Care Assistant to lead a care unit, oversee clinical duties, medication and care plans, and ensure accurate records. You will work 8am–8pm with weekend rota, and play a key role in CQC compliance while delivering compassionate, resident-centered care.

The role requires either full-time or part-time permanent hours, a starting rate of £14.70 per hour, and a Starter Bonus of £500 after four weeks' service; training and development

• You’ll have completed / working towards an NVQ3 in care.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day responsibility for running a unit but focus on clinical duties including medication and reviewing care plans.
• Responsible for all shift handovers and accurate record keeping.
• Leading and managing a team of Care Assistants with supervision and training.
• Building relationships with residents, families and external teams such as GPs and District Nurses.
• Assisting residents with personal care duties and ensuring high-quality care.

You’ll Help Us Make Health Happen By

• Day-to-day responsibility for running a unit

• Leading and managing a team of Care Assistants, including responsibility for all shift handovers of the teams
• Helping with training and supervision of new staff members so they feel welcomed and supported
• Building relationships with residents, their families and external teams such as GPs and District Nurses
• Assisting residents with a range of personal care duties

Because we care for vulnerable people, we’ll need you to complete a DBS check as part of the recruitment process. Bupa will cover the cost of this (£40).
