Job summary

Orchard Care Homes is recruiting a Senior Care Assistant for Green Lodge Care Home in Billingham, Teeside. You will lead the care team, assess resident needs, develop person-centred plans, and ensure high standards of medical, physical and emotional support.

You will supervise staff, mentor colleagues, and uphold best practices, with a supportive environment that values dignity, independence and teamwork. Qualified to Level 3 in Health & Social Care and minimum 6 months' experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Qualified to Level 3 in Health & Social Care (essential)
• Previous experience of at least 6 months working as a Senior Care Assistant
• Experience in elderly care or dementia support is desirable

Responsibilities

• Leading and supporting the care team to deliver high-quality care
• Administering medication safely and accurately
• Monitoring residents' wellbeing and updating care records
• Liaising with healthcare professionals and families
• Supporting residents with personal care, meals, and daily activities
• Ensuring the home remains clean, safe, and welcoming
