Senior Care Assistant

Are you a Senior Care Assistant looking to further develop your skills? Our Senior Care Assistants play a key role in ensuring each person living within our homes receives the care they need to live a fulfilling life.

Rates of pay:

• NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care: £12.81 per hour
• NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care: £13.80 per hour

Role Overview

Orchard Care Homes is committed to delivering high-quality, personalized care to meet individual needs. Our focus includes appropriate medication management and meaningful activities for residents.

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will assess individual needs and develop person-centered care plans, ensuring medical, physical, and emotional needs are met. We provide additional training on medication safety to ensure competency.

Previous experience in Older People’s care or dementia care is preferred. A Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care is ideal, but Level 2 qualified staff will be supported to achieve Level 3 through our career pathway.

Main Duties

• Assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate high-standard personalized nursing care.
• Ensure residents are treated with respect and dignity, respecting their rights to privacy, independence, and choice.
• Lead, support, and develop the care team as a team player.
• Maintain excellent communication with residents, families, and external professionals.
