Job summary

Bupa’s Broomcroft House in Sheffield is hiring a Senior Care Assistant to lead a team and deliver person-centred care. You will support with clinical duties alongside the nurse, supervise Care Assistants, and ensure accurate records and care plans.

We offer training, a permanent contract, full-time hours, and a shift pattern that includes weekends. The position pays £12.90–£14.51 per hour with competitive benefits across our UK care homes.

Qualifications

• You’ll have completed / working towards an NVQ3 in care. We’re happy to support you in completing the qualification.
• You’re motivated, positive and with great interpersonal skills, and you enjoy working in a close-knit team.
• You’re pivotal in running a unit, working with the Nurse to aid with clinical duties for the home.
• You have previous experience in the role and knowledge of its rewards and challenges.
• You have a passion for making a real difference to people’s lives, giving personalised support and dignity.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day responsibility for running a unit
• Supporting with clinical duties, including observing, issuing medication, reviewing care plans and accurate record keeping
• Driving and managing a team of Care Assistants, including handovers
• Helping with training and supervision of new staff
• Building relationships with residents, their families and external teams such as GPs and District Nurses
• Assisting residents with a range of personal care duties
