About The Role
As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It influences every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Every team member understands that our residents are individuals with their own stories, and by joining us, you'll have a wonderful opportunity to give back to those people.
Your responsibilities include planning and implementing care that provides residents with security, dignity, and independence. You will get to know residents and their families to deliver personalized care plans.
Leading a team of Care Assistants, you'll maintain high standards of care and influence your team positively. Your tasks may include assisting residents with mobility, end-of-life care, or communicating with families, always with kindness.
You will support the Registered Nurse and Care Manager in providing physical and mental stimulation through social activities and administering medication.
A key duty as a Senior Care Assistant is to keep accurate records and foster strong team relationships.
Ideally, you will have completed a Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care and be willing to pursue Level 3 or equivalent. A background in person-centered care planning and dementia care knowledge are also desirable. The essential qualities include positive energy, good record-keeping, effective time management, and considerate communication.
