About The Role
As a Night Shift Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness is at the core of everything you do. It influences all aspects of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Every team member understands that our residents are individuals with their own stories, and joining us offers a wonderful opportunity to give back to them.
Your responsibilities will include planning and delivering care that promotes residents' security, dignity, and independence. You will get to know residents and their families to help deliver personalized care plans. Leading a team of Care Assistants, you will uphold high standards of care and positively influence your team. Whether demonstrating how to use a walking frame, assisting at mealtimes, or communicating with families, kindness will be your guiding principle.
Assisting the Registered Nurse and Care Manager, you will provide physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, and administer medication.
A key responsibility is maintaining accurate records and building strong team relationships.
Ideally, you will have completed a Level 2 Diploma S/NVQ in Adult Care and be willing to pursue Level 3 or equivalent. Experience in person-centered care planning and caring for people with dementia is desirable. What’s essential is your positive energy, ability to get along with others, good record-keeping skills, effective time management, and a considerate, kind communication style.
