As a Senior Care Assistant, your role is crucial to our home. You will lead Care Assistants in delivering high-quality, personal care to residents, while inspiring, developing, and nurturing them to excel every day.

We’ll train you on our new digital care system, transforming how we work, making tasks easier, and allowing you to focus on clinical excellence and resident care. With over 75 years of healthcare expertise, we’re committed to ongoing training in clinical and social care developments, learning from industry leaders. It’s an exciting time to join us.

You’ll help us make health happen by:
  1. Day-to-day management of a care unit
  2. Supporting clinical duties, including assisting nurses with medication, care plan reviews, and accurate record keeping
  3. Leading and managing a team of Care Assistants, including shift handovers
  4. Training and supervising new staff to ensure they feel welcomed and supported
  5. Building relationships with residents, families, GPs, and District Nurses
  6. Assisting residents with personal care duties
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
  • Completion or pursuit of NVQ3 in care; support available for qualification completion
  • Motivated, positive, with excellent interpersonal skills, and a team-oriented mindset
  • Previous experience in a similar role, with understanding of its rewards and challenges, and a passion for making a difference through kindness, support, and dignity
