Foley Grange Care Home in Kidderminster is seeking a dedicated Senior Care Assistant to lead a care team during day shifts. You will coordinate person-centred care, oversee medication administration and ensure safe, high-quality outcomes for residents.

You’ll maintain accurate records, communicate with families and health professionals, and support smooth shift handovers to maintain continuity of care. The role is full-time (38.5 hours per week) with 5.6 weeks annual leave, DBS paid, uniform

Qualifications

• Requires SVQ/NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care; Level 3 desirable.
• Medication administration training with competency is essential.
• Experience supporting or leading a care team is beneficial.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Caring, compassionate and professional approach.

Senior Care Assistant Contract

• Contracted to 38.5 hours per week
• Paid [PVG/DBS], pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)
• Hours are 07:45am - 20:00pm

Role Overview

As Senior Care Assistant, you will guide and support your team in delivering safe, high quality, person centred care that makes a real difference every day to our residents.

You will take responsibility for the smooth running of your shift, ensuring care is well organised, consistent and delivered to a high standard. Alongside providing hands on care, you will oversee medication, monitor residents’ wellbeing and respond to any changes, ensuring care remains safe and appropriate.

You will maintain accurate care records and work closely with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals to ensure clear communication and continuity of care.

We Are Looking For

• [SVQ/NVQ] Level 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum), with Level 3 desirable or willingness to work towards
• Medication administration training with competency is essential
• Experience supporting or leading a care team is beneficial
