Job summary

Nurse Seekers are recruiting for a well-established residential care home to appoint a compassionate Senior Care Assistant for day shifts in Marton Moss, Blackpool. The role leads a care team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care with a focus on safeguarding and dignity.

You will have a Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification, previous senior care experience, and strong communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications

  • A Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care.
  • Previous experience as Senior Care Assistant in residential or nursing care.
  • Experience administering medication and leading shifts.
  • Understanding of person-centred care and safeguarding.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to support, mentor and motivate care team members.
  • Strong organisational skills with care planning and record keeping.
  • Compassionate, reliable and professional approach delivering outstanding care.

Responsibilities

Nurse Seekers are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established, high-quality residential care home seeking a compassionate and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join their dedicated Day Team.

About You
  • A Level 3 qualification (or above) in Health & Social Care.
  • Previous experience working as a Senior Care Assistant within a residential or nursing care setting.
  • Experience administering medication and leading shifts.
  • A thorough understanding of person-centred care and safeguarding.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • The ability to support, mentor and motivate other members of the care team.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, particularly with care planning and record keeping.
  • A compassionate, reliable and professional approach with a commitment to delivering outstanding care.
The Role

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring residents receive the highest standards of care whilst providing guidance and support to the wider care team.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Leading and supporting the care team throughout your shift.
  • Delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
  • Administering medication in line with company policies.
  • Monitoring residents' wellbeing and responding appropriately to changing needs.
  • Updating care records and communicating effectively with colleagues, healthcare professionals and families.
  • Promoting dignity, independence and choice for every resident.

Permanent Day shifts:

  • 8:00am - 3:00pm
  • 3:00pm - 10:00pm
