A leading care provider in the UK seeks a Senior Care Assistant for night shifts. This role is crucial in delivering personalized care for residents, especially in dementia care. The position requires strong leadership skills, effective communication, and a commitment to high standards of care. Benefits include competitive pay, comprehensive support for staff, and opportunities for professional growth.
At HC One, kindness is at the core of everything we do. As a Senior Care Assistant working 33 hours per week during the night shift, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate care across our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes.
Your responsibilities will include planning and delivering personalized care that promotes residents' security, dignity, and independence. You will build strong relationships with residents and their families, ensuring care plans are tailored to individual needs.
Leading a team of Care Assistants, you will uphold high standards of care, serve as a positive influence, and support your team through showing how to use mobility aids, assisting at mealtimes, and communicating with families. You will also assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager in providing social and recreational activities, administering medication, and maintaining accurate records.
Ideally, you will have completed a Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care (or equivalent) and be working towards Level 3. Experience in person-centered care planning and caring for people with dementia is desirable. Your positive energy, kindness, and ability to communicate effectively are essential qualities.
We believe that caring for people means caring about what matters most to them. Our team embodies five key qualities: curiosity, compassion, creativity, courage, and dependability. We foster an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and can be themselves.
All colleagues are responsible for safeguarding and must recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect. Training will be provided, and you will be supported in reporting concerns appropriately.
We are committed to diversity and inclusion, welcoming applicants from all backgrounds. We aim for a quick onboarding process to get you started promptly.
