Job summary

Stow Healthcare Group is seeking a Senior Care Assistant in Halstead to lead a team of Carers and oversee daily care tasks for residents. The role involves medication administration, monitoring health, and coordinating with healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality support.

The post requires two years in care, an L2 Diploma or higher, and a genuine people-focused approach with excellent English communication.

Qualifications

• L2 Diploma in Health and Social Care is required with ambition to progress to Level 3.
• Minimum two years' experience in care settings.
• Experience administering medications and leading a team of Carers.
• Flexible, patient, caring attitude and a real 'people person'.
• Good written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Care Assistants and coordinate daily care tasks.
• Administer medications and monitor residents' health.
• Identify deteriorating residents and direct the appropriate care.
• Support residents to live fulfilling lives with compassionate care.
• Liaise with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated support.
• Available to work alternate weekends and 8am–8pm shifts.

• Supporting residents to live fulfilling lives
• Offering kind and respectful care to elderly people needing support with personal care, mealtimes and activities
• Liaising with healthcare professionals
• Available to work alternate weekends
• 8am to 8pm

The skills you’ll need
