Job summary

Stow Healthcare Group in Halstead is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to lead a team of Care Assistants and deliver high-quality care across a busy residential setting.

You will administer medications, monitor residents, liaise with healthcare professionals and support residents with personal care, meals and activities. Weekend availability and 8am–8pm shifts apply.

Qualifications

• L2 Diploma in Health and Social Care with ambition to achieve L3.
• Minimum two years' experience in care.
• Experience administering medications and leading a team of Carers.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Flexible, patient, caring attitude and people person.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Care Assistants under experienced management.
• Administer medications and monitor residents' health.
• Identify deteriorating residents and direct care accordingly.
• Support residents to live fulfilling lives with personal care and activities.
• Liaise with healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
• Availability to work alternate weekends; shift hours 8am–8pm.

• Supporting residents to live fulfilling lives
• Offering kind and respectful care to elderly people needing support with personal care, mealtimes and activities
• Liaising with healthcare professionals
• Available to work alternate weekends
• 8am to 8pm

The skills you’ll need
