Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group in Esher, Surrey, is seeking a warm Senior Care Assistant at Esher Manor Care Home to help deliver high standards of personal care in a safe, inclusive environment.

You will work with the care team to support residents, monitor wellbeing, assist with medication, and contribute to monthly evaluations, staff development, and day-to-day operations.

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in similar care environment.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Positive, supportive attitude towards residents and staff.
• Flexible to cover a range of duties as required.

Responsibilities

• Support the care team to deliver high standards of personal care.
• Monitor residents' wellbeing and update care plans accordingly.
• Assist with medication as required and safe administration.
• Undertake staff supervisions and support development.
• Serve as a point of contact with residents, relatives and professionals.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be to support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff.

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

• Monitoringthe wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changeimpactingon care and care plans, ensuring that new needs aremet,and written records are amended to reflect any variation.
• Beinginvolved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing,monitoring,and undertaking monthly evaluations.
• Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
• Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required.
• Actingas a key point for contact with residents, theirrelativesand visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are actedupon,and concerns or complaints are escalated.
