Job summary

Bridge House Care Home in Farnham Road, Elstead, is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to join a dedicated team. Hours include days or nights, with full-time and part-time options.

You will support residents with personal care, activities, medication administration, and lead a team of care assistants on shift. Care Certificate is required and you must be willing to undertake NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care to qualify.

Qualifications

• Care Certificate must be held and NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care to qualify for the position.
• Good written and spoken communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team and flexible to alternate weekends.

Responsibilities

• Promote physical and emotional well-being of residents in all aspects of life.
• Provide personal care: washing, hygiene and dressing assistance.
• Assist with mealtimes and daily activities.
• Deliver person-centred care, maintaining residents' independence and dignity.
• Maintain accurate records and participate in regular training.
• Lead a team of care assistants and collaborate with external health professionals.
• Administer medications as required.

Senior Care Assistant

Hours: Days or Nights; full-time and part-time available

Location: Bridge House Care Home, Farnham Road, Elstead, GU8 6DB

At Bridge House CareHome we are looking for a hardworking team player who is passionate about developing a career in the social care industry as a Senior Care Assistant. You will be motivated and compassionate, with a genuine interest in benefitting the lives of those within our care.

You MUST hold Care Certificate and be willing to take NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care to qualify for this position.

Responsibilities of the Senior Care Assistant:
As a Senior Care Assistant you will be key to promoting the physical and emotional well-being of our residents in all aspects of their lives. As a valued member of our team, you will be involved in:

• Providing physical and mental stimulation for residents by taking part in social and recreational activities, on a one-to-one and group basis
• Assisting residents with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene and dressing
• Assisting with mealtimes
• Ensuring residents' independence, dignity and respect, by delivering the very best person-centred care
• Helping to maintain accurate records
• Undertaking regular ongoing training
• Developing relationships with our residents and their families in order to gain a better understanding of how to provide the best possible care
• Reviews with external health professionals
• Lead the team of care assistants
• Administer medication
