Job summary

Agincare Group in Dursley is seeking an experienced Senior Care Assistant to join their supportive team. The role requires a minimum of 12 months experience and NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care, with the opportunity to work towards Level 3.

• A minimum of 12 months on your right to work in the UK
• NVQ Level 2 - Health and Social care qualification
• NVQ Level 3 - Health and Social Care qualification or be working towards
• This position works 30 hours per week
• This position works 30 hours per week: a mixture of 6 and 12 hour shifts
• Required to work alternate weekends

A day in the life of a Senior Care Assistant

• Person‑centred care – you will ensure that residents receive personal care from you and your team including bathing, dressing and oral care within their preferences, and actively promote right to choice and independence
• Review – you will contribute to and carry out care reviews with your residents to ensure their plans reflect their needs
• Medication – you will administer residents' medication in a safe, supportive and compliant way
• Social Activity – you will lead and participate in trips out, social engagements and activities within the home
• Leadership – you may support new starters or existing staff with shadowing and development, and may be called up to lead the home when more senior managers are not available
