Job summary

Jupiter Recruitment is seeking a motivated Senior Support Worker for a purpose-built care home in Congleton, Cheshire. You will provide high-quality dementia, residential and respite care and work within a supportive team.

The role is permanent, full-time (36 hours per week) with night shifts. NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent is required, and you will be supported with training and development.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent.
• Proven experience of working in a care setting.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Have a genuine desire to care for others.

Responsibilities

• Recognise and facilitate the daily needs of residents.
• Conduct formal supervisions and appraisals.
• Contributing to care planning and coaching support workers.
• Take an active professional role in promoting the services offered when dealing with relatives, prospective residents and enquiries.
• Participate in updating and writing care plans and resident documentation.
• Be responsible for making and reporting realistic assessments of each resident to ensure continuity of care.
• Be responsible for administering medication to the residents in accordance with policies and procedures.

Benefits

The successful Senior Support Worker will receive an excellent salary of £14.50 per hour and the annual salary of £27,144 per annum. This exciting position is a permanent full time role for 36 hours a week working through night shifts.
