About The Role
As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Every person who works here understands that our residents are people just like them, with their own stories to tell. Joining us offers a wonderful opportunity to give back to those individuals.
Your responsibilities will include planning and implementing care that provides residents with security, dignity, and independence. You will get to know residents and their families to ensure personalized care plans. Leading a team of Care Assistants, you will maintain high standards of care and influence your team positively. Whether demonstrating how to use a walking frame, assisting at mealtimes, or communicating with families, kindness will be your guiding principle.
You will assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager in providing physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, as well as administering medication. Maintaining accurate records and building strong team relationships are key aspects of your role.
Ideally, you will have completed a Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care or equivalent and be willing to work towards Level 3. Experience in person-centered care planning and caring for people with dementia is desirable. Your positive energy, ability to connect with people, good record-keeping skills, and effective time management are essential. Your communication with residents and colleagues should be considerate and kind.
